Psychometric Assessment Training & Support

Here at Elm Clinic, we LOVE assessment. It brings together all the skills of a great psychologist - client care, case formulation, research, evidence-based practice, communication, and more. Learning to do assessment well means building skills to look beyond the numbers that a scoring report spits out, and really understand what the data means in the context of your client.

Psychological assessment is a key competency for psychologists, and building familiarity with major assessment tools will help you feel more confident if you are preparing for the National Psychology Exam.

Elm Clinic offers in-person training and support to build your confidence with common tools such as the WAIS, WISC and WIAT in a safe, non-judgmental space, where you can practice, make mistakes and receive real-time feedback.

Participants must meet test publisher minimum qualification requirements to access these tools.

While being in the room to use test materials is ideal, support can also be offered through online sessions.

Sessions can be delivered individually, or in small groups to help reduce the cost per participant.

The costs for training are:

Registered psychologist - $220 p/h, or $130 pp for 2 hour group session (4-5 people)

Provisional psychologist - $150 p/h, or $90 pp for 2 hour group session (4-5 people)
